So it’s silly, but unless it’s been a weekend or a federal holiday, I’ve never not worked on my birthday.
I’m turning <35 and it’s odd not to be bringing in a special treat for lunch.
So instead of baked goods to mark the occasion, I brought home a special lunchtime calzone-for-one from a great place nearby after having my hair done (technically it’s just a cut, but it doesn’t feel right to call it that since the nice stylists always do more to my hair in that one visit than I normally do in a week!). Later, Eric and I will head out for my favorite treat – real mashed potatoes and gravy (I am too lazy to make it myself from scratch yet can’t bring myself to make it from a box.). This time we’ll try a Cracker Barrel near our home.
We are planning on hitting up the Floresville Peanut Festival this weekend. My husband grew up in this small town and since it’s my birthday week (hey, and why not celebrate it all week?), he promised to take me and point out all the places he hung out as a kid.
How do I feel about turning <35? Honestly, it feels like any other Tuesday.
UPDATE: Eric has been listening to my yearnings for pottery time and enrolled me in a class for my birthday gift! So thoughtful!!
